Rob Spence was onscreen director in the cult documentary hit “Let's All Hate Toronto”, for CBC Newsworld’s “The Lens” that got the highest ratings ever at the time. It is nationally distributed in Canada and was also a special presentation at North America’s biggest documentary festival Hot Docs.
The Eyeborg Project, Rob and a team of engineers converting his prosthetic eye into a wireless video camera, has received
international attention: Drudge; Huffpost; Today Show; Jimmy Fallon; Wired; BBC; CNN; Tech Crunch; and Fox News amongst many other outlets. Recently, Rob’s camera eye was named one of Time Magazine’s 50 best inventions of the year.
Rob is co-organizing Toronto's First Augmented Reality conference because he wants to add AR to the video feed that comes from his eye. Real Terminator Vision!
